My Story

Crystal Duggan is a Postpartum & Infant Care Doula, Sleep Strategist and Motherhood Adviser.  She has always been passionate about motherhood and the importance of support is during this wonderful and challenging transition.  Crystal was a stay and work from home Mom for 6 years.  She understands the difficulty of finding balance in the middle of chaos.

Crystal Duggan was raised in the military she is an army B.R.A.T. (Born Raised And Trained) both of her parents served in the Canadian Armed Forces.  This upbringing has proved to be very influential in the organization and execution of her entrepreneurial proficiency while striving to make a difference.  This has given her the ability as a chameleon and finds her place in any setting or situation.

Crystal graduated with her Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA) with a double minor in marketing and sociology from Laurentian University.  Prior to getting her BBA designation, she graduated with her diploma in Law and Security Administration from Georgian College.

After the birth of her first daughter, Crystal learned firsthand the challenges new parents and Moms face when trying to nurture and raise healthy, vibrant children with today’s noise. Moms are prone to take on most of the responsibility themselves and she realized how important support was for Moms during this time. Having someone to confide in about your darkest and toughest moments makes all the difference when you are navigating the road of Motherhood. Just knowing that you are not going “crazy” and all these emotions and thoughts are normal is all you need sometimes.

Crystal realized that there were tons of classes and programs for infants and children to attend but not nearly enough for Moms to connect on a deeper level. Adapting this idea she invested her passion and energy and founded Making Moms. This website is to keep you informed about life as a mother, experiences and learned lessons. Additionally, Crystal organized a group in her community “Making Moms – Oakville” so she could offer Mom’s social events (with & without baby), educational speakers and workshops. This platform allows her to get more Moms connecting in person to make “Mommy friends” and support each other through this wonderful journey of Motherhood.

Crystal has turned her love for helping Moms into a rewarding career, helping Moms and babies adjust to life together.  She enjoys meeting new parents, Moms and families to transform their lives, by giving them support and information they need to make informed decisions on how they want to raise their children.
